Titled; An audio work based on titles from exhibitions held in Czech State Art Galleries and Museums in the period after 1989. Most of the titles provide some intangible kind of poetic resistance, appearing more introvert and escapist than going out and developing new liaisons and framework. The titles, we assume here, reflect the incapacity felt of dealing with large and overwhelming changes imposed on society, from the point of art – processes most of the authors of those exhibitions and titles would categorize as alienating, but at the same time recognize that these very same political processes shape the ground on which we stand, which is not a choice, but a reality.
The titles are recorded in alphabetical order and provide the listeners with the option to imagine and reproduce the exhibitions though their respective titles, with their own associations and imaginary projections. Audio 47 min.
