The Thing itself, Deprived of all Instrumentality, Finally Disappears into Absolute Exteriority. (2010)
Instalation consisting of wooden sculpture with 3 hidden screens inside. 3 Videos with sound cca 5’ each.
Brief description of this work: For this group exhibition we proposed to focus on our previous art projects for which was typicall that people we invited to work with us were instrumentalized by our instructions. For most of such projects was essential to built friendly atmosphere so the conditions were pleasant to work in. Many of such a collaborators we afterwards left behind, even if they had expectations to continue our friendship.
Wooden panel construction is palying a role of outer facade (metaphore of our finalized projects) and restricts possibility to see whole picture shown on the screens hidden inside. Whole picture; which would show more complete portrait of people we once used in our work.
